2004 ford explorer tranny fluid location
Hey Guys ( Newbie Here )
I got to admitt I DON'T KNOW that much about cars. My 2004 Eddie Bouer tranny is SLIPPING. I was told to buy LUCAS tranny fix it or something like that. So I bought and now I CAN'T FIND THE PLACE IN THE ENGINE TO POUR THE STUFF IN ? ? ? I see the Oil Fill IN but NOT THE TRANNY FILL IN. Where the heck is it  I remain as allways in the DARK  |
Before you go adding anything to the trans fluid , have you had the trans fluid and filter serviced ? When they remove the pan it may reveal something that might answer some questions. Regular service is the best maintenance move .

Your Explorer DOES NOT have a transmission dipstick tube. It's a sealed transmission with a inspection port on it. Never add addatives to transmission fluids. They actually degrade the existing fluid after about 1,000 miles. I would start with a filter and full fluid change as HANKY has stated.
