2016 Ford Explorer Recall Trottle Body

Received a recall notice from Ford that there is a potential problem with the throttle body of my 2016 Explorer. We called immediately and had an appointment to drop off the vehicle yesterday. Welll, I broke down before I even arrived at the dealership and had to be towed. While driving I lost all power in the vehicle. Everything just shut down. Luckily I wasn't on the highway doing 50mph because this could have been a deadly situation with the vehicle stopping abruptly. I feel that Ford should have told me not to drive the vehicle until it was fixed. All Ford said in the recall was that I would experience a protective low speed mode along with engine power and speed being reduced. Reduced? I had absolutely nothing. I was wondering if anyone else on this forum has had the same problem.

Thank you.
