94 Explorer Stock 10 Disk CD Changer
 

I have a 1994 Explorer with a stock 10-disk changer, and the control for the changer reads the flashing message"E-99" whenI start the truck until I press the "Off" button on the control. Does anyone know what this means? Is there an easy, cheap, quick way to fix this so I can use it?!? Thanks!

Normally an E-99 code means that something is wrong with the disc magazine. Check the disc magazine and ensure that it is clean and the discs can move in and out smoothly. I've also seen E-99 code caused by somebody double stacking a CD slot. There should be aRESETbutton on the unit. Press the RESET button after checking the magazine. If the E-99 still shows up, thenthe unit itself is malfunctioning for some other reason.

I tried to loacate the RESET button on the changer, but I have had no luck. Could you direct me in the right way? I checked the magazine itself, but it seemed to be working just fine.
