95 Explorer Removing Steering Rack
My parents have a 95 Explorer and I have spent the last 6 hours trying to get it out. It is 4 wheel drive, v6, automatic and air conditioning. Will get a pic of where I have the rack at the moment and what is in my way. Everything is disconnected except for the tie rod ends.

RE: 95 Explorer Removing Steering Rack
Here is where i have it. The transmission lines are in the way but I dont want to remove them unless i have to. Is there any other way to get the rack out other than removing the lines from the cooler.

Bench Bleed Brand New Steering Rack
Has anyone ever bench bled their rack and pinion? I’m just now installing almost the entire power steering system, from rack and pinion to pump and all leaking lines. The only things left over are the cooler and the reservoir which I can’t find new. I did take them out and thoroughly clean them. I also am installing a filter between the reservoir and the cooler. The instructions that came with the rack state bench bleeding is required along with fluid change so as to avoid serious damage to pump. Are any familiar with this process?
