96 explorer xlt full beam symbol on all the time on console
 

help the full beam light on the consolehas suddenly started to stay on constantly and only goes off when you turn the lights fully on, otherwise it works normally

Could be a crossed wire (like a blown two filament light bulb) or a bad high/low beam switch.

bulbs are ok, the switch, itlooks like the block connector, the top one of the two has over heated at one time and the plastic housing is a little miscoloured,i will have to book it in and get it looked at

1996 explorer i have been informed that the daytime running light module (Canada vehicles) may be causing the problem with the full beam light on the console being on when the vehicle is running in daylight allthough when i turn the lights on everything works as it should.
has anybody experienced this, and where will i find the module on the vehicle so i can check it out.
