98 Explorer radio replacement..extra wire?

I am replacing my stock am/fm cassette radio with an aftermarket system. My ford radio I believe is just a normal non-premium radio. It has a number on the side of it that is f87f-19b132-ab. There were 2 connectors going to the back of it. One of them had many wires going to it and it is rectangular shape. The other connector is larger and square and only has one wire. This is the wire I need to know what it is. This wire is gray with a black stripe. Does anyone know what this wire is?

I ordered my new stereo from Crutchfields and they did not send a factory pigtail for this connector and I cant figure out what it is.....please help...

I contacted Crutchfield Tech Support and the confirmrd that this was the speed sensor wire and not needed. I have installed the new stereo and everthing is working just fine.
