crank sensor location?

This is my first post, and i need to know where the crank sensor is located on a 1997 Ford Explorer 6cyl SOHC.I think i can change it out, if i only knew where it was. The owners manual is no help.

My problem started about3 years ago.The car was running great and one day I could'nt get it started. I thought i might have been out of gas, that was'nt the problem. I let it sit, and it started again. It would run for about 2 months with no problem. Then it would do it again. This happened for about a year before I startedchanging things out :Spark plug, spark plug wires, fuel filter, fuel pump. The problem continued. I finally took it to the Ford dealership early last yearwhere they changed out the crank sensor.Everythingchecked out O.K.I thought i had solved my problem untill the problem started againabout 3 months ago. Just last week (06/15/07) I changed out everything again.I checked the fuel valve in the engine compartment, and there was fuel and pressure at that point. I can hear the fuel pumpworking and there is fuel getting to the engine. The crank sensor seems to be the problem. So needless to sayI am at the end of my rope. If anyone can post a "clear"picture of the location of the crank sensor, I wouldhelp me a great deal. ANY advice will be appreciated.THANKS IN ADVANCE. GREG
