door closing

Default door closing
I was hearing annoying creaking or rattling when I drove my Explorer. Deciding the noise came from the door, I sprayed WD40 all in side the door hinge area. Now the door will not stay open. It closes on me even as I try to exit the vehicle. Does anyone know what to do to make it stay open????
