Explorer Just Broke Down

My 95' Ford Explorer just broke down a mile from my house. Everything was normal beforehand, the car felt fine to school and back. Then when I was a mile from my house it felt like I tapped on the brakes once, then back to normal, then like I tapped on the brakes again but I didn't. I pulled over and the engine died. Now when I start it up it barely runs at 200 rpms and then dies. Any ideas? Thanks. Dustin

RE: Explorer Just Broke Down

I had a similar problem on my '94 a year or so ago. Turned out to be a vacuum line that had come loose. Not sure which line it was, but was on the drivers side at a junction of 4 or 5 vacuum hoses right near the firewall in the engine compartment. Good luck
