Is there anything under the hood that will indicate if the fuel pump doesnt work? A button, twist knob. etc ,etc? Thanks......mine runs w/ starting fluid.....fired up every two weeks for the last 68 weeks... ?????????????????????????

Do you hear the pump run if you 'bump' the starter, or if the key is cycled off/on.. Check for 12v coming in/out of the inertia switch cycling the ignition switch to on.. If voltage is at the inertia (will only be there a few seconds each cycle) and you don't hear the pump run, chances are its the pump.. If the inertia tests positive for 12v, you might tryand crank the engine and give the bottom of the fuel tank a hard bump to see if the pump starts.. But being your using fluid forthe start, could be injection/fuel drop problems.. Be sure to check the fuses out in the battery junction box for F1.7/30amp (PCM power relay) and F1.23/20amp (fuel pump relay) and F2.19/25amp (PCM power relay) in the central junction box in the interior.. If the fuses are good, and you don't have power to the inertia switch it could be the fuel pump relay in the BJB..

Also check for "GREEN" grounds, disconnected grounds as they would keep the PCM module from firing the injectors. You might also want to put a pressure guage on the fuel line schrader valve to check for proper pressure.

Ok, now I'll look for the inertia switch and bump the bootom of the tank. This vehicle has been started and idled for awhile and driven a few hundred yards nearly every 2 weeks , the odo is @ 82k....Is the fuel pump/ gas tank removal a P I T A ?
Thank you
