KEYLESS ENTRY CODE FOR 96 EXPLORER
 

I just bought a 96 explorer to replace my 94 ranger . the explorer has a keyless entry pad on the door ut i dont know the code.
I didn't get the owners manual, is there anyway to reset it or can the code be found somewhere in the car? I saw a post on the taurus forum that said the code is printed on the trunck lid or the engine compartment, is this the same with the explorer? thanks in advance

Try looking up under the dash on the driver's side for a module that has a tag with the code on it. If not, the Dealer can get the code from the computer.

I have a 98 and if u remove the cover in back for the jack there is a 5 digit number on an electrical box, that is the keyless code
