We just purchased a pre-owned 1999 Ford Explorer. After parking the vehicle, we locked the steering wheel and now we cannot unlock the wheel or crank the vehicle. This seems to be a security issue. Any suggestions of how to correct this?

 

If you try turning the wheel and pushing that little switch near the ignition key area that should unlock it. It is a security measure. I believe you turn it to the left.
