TRANS KNOCK

Have a 2002 EXPLORER XLS 27K. EVERY SO OFTEN (not always) when truck is shifting down or up I can feel a slight knock. Other times, shifting is smooth. Seems like knock happens most frequently when accelerating then taking my foot off the gas fast or when slowing down fast. Should I be concerned?

RE: TRANS KNOCK

Go to www.carcompaints.com and type your year, make and model of your vehicle in. You will see that this is happening to alot of people who own 2002 Ford Explorers. Ford is well aware of this issue along with other transmission related issue happenig not only to your year model but also 2003-2006 models. Even though they are well aware of this they are turning a blind eye.
