truck stalls after hit the brakes then kicks forward
I have a 2003 Explorer I changed the brakes about 2 months ago.If I need to stop suddenly and need to hit brakes when I press gas to go againcar doesn't move then all of a sudden kicks forward.
I took it to the shop; they changed the front calipers and said that the brakes were fine and it did it again after that I took it back to the shop and they said nothing wrong with the brakes. I did tuneup also about 3 months ago anyone what may cause this. It doesn't happen everytime. When I hit the brakes easilyat low speed it'sfine

You may have a vacume issue with the trans. You may also have a issue with the combination valve ofABS control unit . There may be a stuck valve in the combo valve or possibly in theABS control unit. Not aloowing pressure to be releases. Also have them doulbe check the calipers and see if the are compressing back in the caliper may bee hanging up. Alot of shops do not pull the caliper when inspecting brakes they use guages, they may be missing something. I would take and get a second opinion from another shop. You may have to leave it a while so that they can get it to act up.... This could be potentialy unsafe.
Thanks for the reply I am going to take it to ford they are more expensive but they are more familiar with this type of truck and what will cause this. Is what you mentioned expensive to fix?
