Default window sensor?

hiya kids since y'all were so helpful with my rust bucket f-150 i thought i would take another shot. i also have a 97 explorer 4-dr 4wd. the week after thanksgiving someone of less than honorable character decided to punch out my drivers window and steal the wifes wallet. i had the window replaced but have developed the following problem. (this the wifes vehicle) when she opens her door with the remote or key the dome light comes on like it should. however once the motor is running if she opens the drivers door it does not come on, nor does the chime chime. it also has silenced the chime for headlights on. ( i wasn't happy when she ran the optima dead.) i see there is no door pins in the jam and everything seems to be controlled by the key mechanism in the door. could there be another sensor in there that was crimped or broken during the installation of the new glass?

thanks dc

Default RE: window sensor?

I had a door latch spring on my ranger that was bad.. I had to remove the fuse so that the interior light would go out. it was the door latch that was bad. but from what your saying I don't know what could be wrongs.
