If it's won't stay running but will crank, it's either a fuel system issue or ignition system issue...is it doing anything else?

When you do get it running you can drive it for about twenty minutes and it'll go dead and you have to sit there for 10 minutes to get it yo crank again

Am I right in assuming that you are still running an old school can type coil? If so, it sounds like the coil is breaking down when it gets hot and will then provide a hot enough spark after cooling down some (Been there...Done that with my 1966 Barracuda Formula). You may have spark from the coil when the engine dies, but it may not be hot enough to spark the plug under compression. An old school coil is only about $15.
