1992 F150 won't start, solenoid clicks
I have a 1992 F150 XLT 4x4. Every once and a while it will start up, but most of the timethe solenoidjust clicks. Lights are on, radio works, etc. I've tested the starter and solenoid... both good. I replaced the two cables going from the battery to the starter. I've replaced the neutral safety switch... the battery is less than a year old. I've cleaned all the terminals.I have no clue what else it could be. Any idea?

Does it do this when cold and warm, or just one or the other.
You did mention getting the starter bench tested, right? |
RE: 1992 F150 won't start, solenoid clicks
It does it in both situations. I had it started, went to the gas station and 2 minutes later it wouldn't start. It just seems like random occurences when it does start. I pulled the starter off and took it to autozone. They tested it and said it was fine.

When it clicks, do you get voltage on the second leg to the solenoid down to the starter? If so, check your grounds.
