1997 F150 4.6L smokes

I have a 1997 Ford F150 4.6 L. I am trying to figure out if I have bad valve seals or ring problems. It will pop smoke when you first run it. Then it quits for a while. Then once it gets good and hot it does it more it is very lacking in power. It slows down rolling up the hill.

You certainly have a good combo of symptoms.

Usually , rings will cause smoke all the time if it is burning the oil , and can also do bad things to the converter and cause it to become plugged giving a low power problem.

Valve seals will usually only cause smoke on start up since the oil has time to drain down into the cyls.

Oil getting past the rings can cause spark plug fouling which can affect power also. So you see there is quite a bit to choose from with these symptoms
If you remove the oil fill cap do you see any vapors coming out of the valve cover, indicating possible compression blow-by due to a ring problem.

Could be stuck rings. are you keeping up with oil changes? Get some engine flush and try that along with an oil chenge. Do not go cheap on the oil.

I ran the codes on it. I have a number two and number three cylinder misfire. I’ve already found out that those are the injector problems. But I also have an O2 sensor reading code. I am pretty sure it’s because I had the catalytic converter removed a while back. But my question is. Is there anyway to bypass the O2 sensors for the computer?
