2016 Windshield

1 Attachment(s)
Just wondering if anyone has this issue with the windshield on a 2016 F150. The glass has thousands of specks that become blinding in the morning sun. Has anyone experience this issue and did Ford correct? These are in the glass.

Thanks

how many miles did it take for that to happen?

It is a new truck off the dealer's lot. Had about 100 miles on it when I purchased it as a new truck.

maybe it happened during delivery...throw off from the transport it was on?
Something this new with low miles; take it back to the dealer you bought it from and let them warranty it. Ask them how it passed pre-delivery inspection like that. Window glazing would not pass a safety inspection let alone pdi.

The only reason I put this message on this board was that a person at the dealership which I will not mention, indicated that he can see that in the other new trucks they have on their lot. So I was wondering if anyone buying a new F150 had this same problem since it was insinuated this may be normal. We will see what Ford does with this but this is an extreme safety hazard driving into the sun. I was also hoping a Ford representative would comment on this board but so far, I have not heard a thing from Dealer or Ford.

We're all Ford folks, but wouldn't hold my breath on that one !

No, window glazing is not normal. They don't come like that from the factory. My 06 taurus glass is better. I have never ever seen a new vehicle with glass like that.

Is there ford customer service people on this site? There is nothing they can authorize. At best they can make suggestions and then direct you to the dealer. Any warrant-able action will involve the dealership.

You are correct about holding your breath on Ford correcting the problem.

Ford today indicated all their trucks have these same specks in their windshields and that is normal. So I guess if you drive in the morning sun, seeing through the windshield is not that important.

If that is the case I would think I would have more people commenting to this thread if they bought a new Ford 2016 F150 trucks with same issue.

I guess as a consumer, you expect to heard this answer. On to the next step.

by ford you mean a sales rep from the dealership? Its pretty easy to verify this. go to a ford dealership and test drive an identical truck.
