2017 Oil

Is there an such Motorcraft oil that is labeled Motorcraft "Premium" Synthetic Blend? TIA

Motorcraft's "Synthetic Blend" (as labeled on the bottle) oil is the Motorcraft "PREMIUM" oil. Motorcraft has "Conventional" (plain ole' dino juice) oil, "Premium" oil (Synthetic/Dino Blend) & "Full Synthetic" oil (Not to be confused with 100% Synthetic).

Some "synthetic" oil is made from Group III base stock, some from Group IV. Some from a blend of the two.

A 100% Synthetic is Group IV: PAO Poly-alpha-olefin (or poly-α-olefin, abbreviated as PAO) is a polymer made by polymerizing an alpha-olefin. They are designated at API Group IV and are a 100% synthetic chemical compound (Such as AMSOIL Lubricants are).
