86 F150 Tailgate latch handle broke off - How can I open the tailgate?
The tailgate latch handle broke off inside and the stub piece that is still connected is too short to grab and apply any leverage. Looks like the inner tailgate panel is welded. There's torque head fasteners on the inside that appear to hold the latch ***'y, but I don't think letting it loose inside the tailgate will help at all. I can't pry the strike-bolts back with a screwdriver either.
