87 f-150 ft selector valve

Don’t want to annoy anybody, I am new to this. But I have my friends 87 F-150 with the 4.9 V6. I want to replace the Fuel tank Selector Valve. My only question is when I look it up on WORLDPAC, two options come up, one that looks exactly like the one that’s in there which is bigger

This is like the one that’s on the truck.

New model, or completely wrong?
(expensive), and one a bit smaller(cheaper). They both have six ports for fuel lines to connect, but i don’t know if the smaller(cheaper) version is the updated or just completely wrong. If anyone has any insight I’d truly appreciate it. And I know, if there’s a part that looks exactly like the oem one than go with that, but if saving money is possible that’s what I would want.

Thank you in advance,
Dominic

If I'm not mistaken, the OEM unit used/uses +12vdc to move the valve from the front tank position to the rear tanks position. Then uses spring return to go back to the front tank. Looking at the 2nd unit, it looks like it uses +12vdc to go in both directions which is a more reliable way to operate the valve. Due to this there would be no spring required, thus the housing would/can be smaller. The smaller unit looks like a POLLACK unit. Just double check your wiring requirements.
