Default 89f150 won't idle

My truck was fine until last week now it will not idle. I replaced fuel filter but did not help the truck will only stay on if i keep giving it gas.any ideas?

IAC (Idle Air Control) may need to be cleaned or replaced.

HERES THE HOLE PROBLEM, IS A FORD. FORD SUCKS AND I HATE THEM. SURE IM BEEING childish but there vehicles are crap. the never have been able to go on living without dieing. is no accident fond on road dead fits ford. i hate mine. its gay and i want to smash it with a rock because it is such a piece of ****

It is up on the intake near the throttle body. It controls the air intake at idle, and when it gets dirty or goes bad you can get idling issues. That would be the first place to look.
