Blend door actuator
 

I'm having issues with what I've been told by Ford service is a Blend door actuator. When I open my door, there's a clicking sound coming form behind the dash that lasts about 30 seconds. I can still switch from heat to cool, or vice versa. I also watched a video on replacing this part myself. Anyone have any feedback, or recommendations before I try to fix it myself? Ford is going to charge between 500-1,000 to do it and I can't stomach that!
