Changed a/c components - truck won't start

Good Morning,

I hope I can relay the problem clearly enough. My dad and I changed all the a/c components in my 2003 F150. (The old compressor was leaking). We flushed what needed to be flushed and installed everything. He vacuumed the system and then I turned on the truck to charge the a/c. After charging it I turned it off to help put tools away. When I went to start it and back it out of the garage - it will not start! We have no clue as to what could have happened. The battery is fine. It doesn't make a clicking noise (which I think is usually the starter). It makes more like a buzzing or humming noise. Any suggestions or ideas how to locate the problem?

A good place to start would be the connections at the battery. Then all the places the battery cables connect to. Do you have any means to use a jumper battery or from another vehicle? A simpler test would be to put the headlights on and try to start it. Watch what the headlights do. If they go dim, could be battery problem, cable/connection problem or starter problem. If they don't dim, problem could be from ign switch, trans range switch(neutral safety sw),starter solenoid on starter
or poor connection in the wiring to the starter. Last but not least, try and give the starter a rap with a hammer, just one, and see if that allows it to start.
