drunk 4 wheelin not good!!

hey everyone just waking up from a hell of a night and trying to remember what went on, well it all came back to me when i went out to my barn this morning and yes no passenger sidemirror on my silver 2002 f-150 4x4 Sport, haha yeah to much fun last night 4 wheelin haha. Some how it ended up in the box haha. But reality has set in and gotta get it fixed. I've been searching the web and i already looked through this forum and found some good info but not exactly what im looking for. I want to let everyone know that im a 5 minute old member and that its really awesome to seethat people are willing to help another ford owner and i wish i would have found this site earlier. okay enough talk down to business. first question, is a generic mirror (kool vue) gonna look and operate the same as an oem Ford mirror. Should i spend the extra money for the ford part? and color? i been trying to get the rear cover off in hopes that i can put it on the new mirror. Its silver because of the sport package. is there any way to get it off and possibly put it on a new mirror? or should i just bring it in and have an auto body shop do it? anyways i would appreciate any help.

Yor could check the following site and see if you can get a Ford mirror cheaper from us here.

yea thanks my man, oh and i got that cover off four clips in the back, you have to tilt the mirror and stick a screw driver and seperate the clips. haha easy fix well worth a fun night of 4 wheelin on the farm.

The cover can be removed with a long screwdriver, by using a flashlight to look behind the glass, there are 4 tabs that need to be released and the cover will come off.
