ecoboost vs 5.0, 18" vs 20"

I am new to this, so please excuse any informalities. I have always driven Chevrolet trucks. I currently have one and I'm in the process of buying a new truck, most likely a Ford. I have narrowed my search to a 2014 FX4. I work in the woods, so a high percentage of my mileage is spent off road or on roads that are in bad shape. I do however stay on the highway a lot too (800-1000 miles/week total mileage). With that said, I have two options available now, one with ecoboost and 18" wheels, the other with a 5.0 and 20" wheels. I occasionally will pull a utility trailer or a 16' trailer and tractor, but primarily drive solo. Any suggestions or feedback regarding this decision would be appreciated.
thanks

Some serious mileage each week 😛

What's the trailer tractor weight?

Since the 18" & 20" tires are the same height and "a high percentage of my mileage is spent off road or on roads that are in bad shape", I would go with the 18" rims. The 18" tires will have a taller sidewall give less chance to damage a rim due to bottoming the tire out. The 18" rim will also give you a better ride on the road and better handling off the road (absorbs more impacts and transfers less to the suspension).
