can i put a 1998 ford expedition 4x4 transmission in to a 1997 f-150 4x4 and what does it take to do so.

Automatic, 5-speed, what? Eng./trans. bolt pattern same? (doubtful, need to know engines involved here.).

Answer is definite YES, if you put the WHOLE Exped. drivetrain in the F-150!

it is a 4.6 in the f-150 the plugs are alot diffrent on the right side of the tranny

Is the Exped. 4.6? The trans bolt pattern should be identical then. Only heads are different, apparently. imp
