Well, I have a '01 SVT Lightning and I've been having problems with it lately. When I punch the gas, or push it to the limit, the engine turns off and my truck shuts down. I'm thinking it has to do with some electrical wiring or maybe not enough gas is getting to the engine and I need a new fuel pump. It hasn't always done this, just here recently in the past week. Any suggestions from anyone?

 

That's an interesting problem. I'd take it in to a place that does a free diagnostic and see if they can detect anything.

Does it just shut off, or does it sputter or miss before it quits?

 

It just shuts off and dies, doesn't sputter. I'm thinking I'm going to try and get a free diagnostic test today because I really need to fix it.

 

Either I'm going to do that or I'm just going to take it back to the dealership today and see whats up.
