Good BUY?: 2001 SVT Lightning
I found an SVT Lightning for 14,995. It is a 2001. It has 80,000 Miles on it.
CONS:The bed liner is in bad shape, the Toneau cover is a little messed up, the one pipe to the exhaust tipis bent in a little, One fog light is out, and the tires BARELY pass inspection.
PROS: The body is in really nice shape, the interior is in excellent condition, the Engine is very sound.
I went for a test drive, and it ran really nice.
I'm having a hard time deciding if THIS truck is the EXACT truck I want.
Is it a good find??

I'm also wondering if theEngine of the SVT Lightning breaks not too long after 80,000 miles, or is it gonna last a long while for me?
Around what Milageis the Breaking Point for these Trucks?

It depends on how hard you rail on it!
Check Kelley Blue Book online to see if it is a decent value. If he has it over blue book, you may be able to talk him down some.

Personally from your pros and cons I would not pay more than 10k for that car. I used to have a lightning in perfect condition under 60k in miles and sold it for $16,500 three years back. However I have always been told that if you want something bad enough its always worth it. Ultimately that is a decision only you can make.
