LED break lights make ECU malfunction?

I got some led brake lights at auto zone for my 2017 f150. About 2 weeks later I get multiple lights going on my dash. Brake controller module malfunction, airbag light, you name it. It was on. Even the steering assistance messed up It became harder to turn the wheel. After I took it to ford they said the led break lights caused this to happen. I think it’s a load of crap but I wish a real ford tech would tell me the truth. Cause tons of people have LEDs on there cars and nothing like this happens.

You might want to check what the requirements are for LEDs to replace regular lamps..It is more than taking one out and putting another in it's place.

What the modules are designed to do is monitor current requirements and when they work as designed they are great. When we start altering things such as replacing lamps with much lower current requirements like LEDs the modules are only doing what they were designed to do and they most of the times just shut down. Usually you get instructions as to what you the installer must do when altering the system. If you put the old lamps back and everything works as it used to before changing things , consider yourself lucky. There are a lot of new electronics in newer vehicles and some of them have a way of getting even when you mess with them.
