Default open diff swap to ls

I have a 2002 f-150 8.8 rear end with an open diff. I am looking to change to a limited slip. I want to know if I will have to adjust my gears when I install the limited slip (auburn gear or power trac). Any info would be great.
Thanks

If the unit you are installing uses a different carrier that requires you to pull the ring gear off of the old carrier and install in onto the new one then you will have to. If the unit you are installing uses the stock carrier, then you should be fine.
