Default parking brake

trying to replace equalizer on my 95 f 150, read haynes and they helped about as much as a 3 toed sloth.
i cant figure out how to get theany slack out of my Ebrake cable. in order to put the new one on the old one rusted and boke off.

There should be an adjuster either at the equalizer or at the pedal assembly to give you slack. If not jack up the whole *** end and (with both wheels and drums off) manually apply (with A tool) the old cable to produce slack for the other side.
