Programmers??

Hey guys, need some help. Any suggestions on a good programmer for my truck. Mainly looking for increased gas mileage, anything helps when all i get is 9MPG.

I have a 5.4L '05 F150 4X4 SuperCrew, its a King Ranch if that matters.

Thanks,
Scott.

Can we get some addl info?
Mileage, kind of maintenance that has been done, Kind of tires, where do you drive mostly, what kind of weight do you carry?

104K, 6in. Suspension lift, 35x12.5x20, I mostly drive highway during the week bc school is 50 miles round trip but i do drive city as well, I only tow a Ranger 800 during Hunting season, other than that virtually nothing.

If the tuck has an automatic trans, at what speed does it go into OD ?

Scott015 06-13-2012 01:51 PM

I apologize for not being more clear in my question.
What I was asking is , at what speed can you feel it go into overdrive?
Also , when it does go into overdrive you can see the engine RPM drop.
Depending on how it is set up they generally go into overdrive around 40 MPH.
I asked this question because if you have oversized tires on it , you may not be going fast enough for the speedo to actually hit the overdrive engagement speed and it stays in the lower gear costing you mileage.
