Questions on 90's ford trucks

Looking at buying a 90's ford truck. probably a 90-96. Square body because the 97 looks sad obviously. I have a few questions. i like the availability of the 90's parts but the front end is a little lacking. I heard you can do a front end swap to an 86 or older ford front end to get the square headlights if you replace the fenders forward. Looking to see if it's possible with just unbolting the 90's and bolting on the 80's. Has anyone done this? I have read a few forum posts saying it's as easy as bolts but I am just wondering if anyone has actually done this or seen this done. if someone can let me know. really like the square headlights of the 80's but like the drive-line and availability of parts for the 90's.

You can do a front end swap. I've done this myself with my partner. Not only does it look sweet, but you'll be the envy of your neighborhood.
