Re: 2010 ford f150 5 4 leter Loses power when accelerating p0305 and p0430

I have a 2010 ford f150 with the 5.4. I'm reading 2 codes. One is a p0305 cyclinder 5 misfires. And a code p0430 for catalist threashold. What can be causing both these codes to go in at the same time? Coincidence? Car runs great till I get on the gas. Then it shakes and loses power. Plz help

It sounds like a misfire under load.
With that uncorrected , can affect the function of the converters.

It might be a good move to determine what is responsible for the misfire and correct that ASAP. Then maybe the 430 code will go away
If the vehicle has been driven for a considerable amount of time with the misfire condition, the converter may be beyond repair and require replacement.

I replaced plugs. It does run a little better... but over 45 it jumps and bogs... any more suggestions
