Default Stalling at idle on 2004

OK so once to two times a day my F150 will stall as it is idling. If I try to run the A/C it stalls out each time. I don't have a tach on this truck so I can't tell what the idle level is. It is a 4.6 L V8 and I have about 86,000 miles on the truck.

Any sugesstions appreciated

Thanks

Does the AC make it stall if you're on the gas?

Hello Going, to answer your question the time that it stalls out is when the idle is at resting speed ,,, with no gas applied. If I turn a corner and relase the gas it stalls ... if I remove my foot from the gas it will eventually stall. Until it starts to stall, at idle it seems to be lurching ,,,, now this happens in neutral without any load.

Thanks

Check fuel pressure - could be dirty fuel filter. Also could be dirty air filter. Other things to look at: air intake dirty and sensors bad or dirty ( crank position sensor, speed sensor, etc.).

I would have the idle control motor examined for shorting, had ours replaced in our 00 Ford Explorer
