Suprise Master Cylinder Failure 05 F-150

Drove to a stop sign and brake pedal went to floor when i tried to stop. ford dealer replaced master cylinder to fix problem. no help from dealer or ford auto maker. this part gave no warning of failure and I could have killed someone on road. should i get an attorney?

Most times the master cylinder will give no warning. The cups can flip due to low fluid, the seals can by-pass or it can just start leaking. You can get an attorney if you wish, but I do not think there is anything you can fight for. Ford has a warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles. You were over the warranty period, so the part is suspect to failure. I know it is a bad thing to go through, but I do not think there is any legal recourse you have. You could call and ask an attorney. I am not a lawyer so I do not know the legal aspects of your state.
