Default 05 f250 muffler question.

I have a 05 f250 6.8l 4x4 manual. The muffler separated and needs replaced but I'm a few weeks out before I can buy the correct one. I have a new muffler from a dodge here (55398327ag) can i use that on my truck for a few weeks without causing damage.???

Muffler in the back of bed isnt the one i put on. Its another someone gave me that came iff a tundra.

I don't know pipe sizing on these but if the size is the same a muffler swap should be fine. There's a reason so many exist on the aftermarket.

thanks for the info. Size is the same only difference is the one that was on it was a single exit and the one I'm putting on it now is dual exit. For now since I dont have the funds I'm using what I got and just sticking two on the dual side facing down. Should hold everything together for a few months without making all the neighbors mad. I'll add some pics after awhile. Redneck ingenuity hehe
