06 6.0L F350 PROBLEMS!!
 

I hope someone can help. I purchased a brand new F350 Super Duty with the Tow Boss package. It is supposed to 5th tow 18,600 pounds. It has a 4:30 gear ratio. I purchased this truck because I started my own business and I haul a 40ft Gooseneck trailer. Within the first few weeks of operating the truck I started getting coolant blown out of the resivoir bottle. I was told this was because if the boost from the turbo reaches above 20lbs it can blow the head gaskets. So I had the Head gaskets replaced which cost me a week plus of down time in a brand new business. Now saturday I was driving and slowing down to stop when the engine died. All accessories had power and there was plenty of fuel. It is in the shop now but no word on what is wrong. Please tell me I am not the only one having serious issues with this vehicle. I really hate to say it but I am starting to believe that I should have purchased a Dodge. I am a Ford man at heart but they are pushing me away very quickly. Really appreaciate any help you could give.

i HAVE A 350 6.0 03 SW AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT, i TOW A 40 FT. RV AND WEIGHT 20,000 LBS., GROSS, IT IS A GREAT TRUCK. I HAVE TALKED TO MANY DRIVERS OUT THERE THAT DO THE SAME AS U AND ALL I HAVE TALKED TO SAY THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ANY OTHER TRUCK. NOW FOR THE BAD PART I HAVE HEARD OF SOME PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS U. SOME SAY THE ENGINE JUST DIES AND SOME SAY IT STARTS TO RUN ROUGH BEFORE IT DIES, THAT WAS BACK IN LATE 03 OR EARLY 04 SO I THOUGHT THAT BY KNOW FORD HAD IT FIXED.

go to www.elite-diesel.com and look for tubing for egr on the internal compnents. the exhaust gases heat up coolant causing to boil over in rqdiqtor cap.
