Ok my friend has a retired uhaul, 1996 F350 with the 460, and some no-life torched the cab down. So the engine and trans and suprising the computer was the only thing that survived. Well he bought a 91 F350 2wd with a manual trans. He wants to put his engine and auto trans in the 91 but is having some doubts. The wiring harnesses are obviously different but the one on the 91 has a round big plug on the firewall appearing to go to the computer. Can he just get an engine harness from another 91 and plug everything into the 96 donor? Or does he have to get an engine from a 91? Also what does he have to do about the trans? I know that the speedo on the 91 is cable driven and mounted on the trans an the 96 is on the rear axle. He wants to get this going as soon as he can. Any help would be nice. Thanks
