Cool 1995 ford f350

how do you adjust the automatic shifter. It reads almost on the Neutral on the dash but is really in 2nd gear.

If the selector is sloppy or hard to select the specific ranges, look under the column about half way down at the base of the 'main' column.. You'll see where the trans shift cable and selector lever attach to the shift tube.. There a 2 torx screws there that come loose and back out.. Make sure their tight.. If the shift selector feels tight without any excessive play, there's a 'thumb wheel' on the small white range indicator cable just below and behind the lower column dress cover.. Rotate the thumb wheel to correct the indication error..
