1997 F-250 Door Locks Going Crazy and Horn and Dome Light
 

While going down the road, the door locks have started to go up and down repeatedly, the dome light will come on and the horn will blow at most inopportune times. Could this be a computer problem? This is a 1997 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the older style cab. Thanks for any help!

Dome Light
 

I had a similar problem but it was with the dome light and the exterior cab light. If I slowed down to below 15 mph, they would come on. As well it would not allow the alarm to set when this happened. I read a tech tip that instructed me to generously lube the door latch with silicon. I used remington gun oil. Problem solved.

Well, my Dad got it fixed, turned out that the truck keys needed to be reprogramed. That cost $35 at Ford and now everything works properly.
