1999 F-250 will not start

I have a 1999 F-250 4x4 5.4L engine130000 miles. Truck started as normal drove for about 3 to 4 miles and died, cranks but would not start, 5, 10 minutes later refired and drove back home. Truck restarted several times and seemed to run fine, did have high idle, and has had for a few days. checked and cleanedthe normals, MAF, Throttle body, etc.

Have power to all gauges, no service engine light, butcan not hear the fuel pump run. I am leaning towards 50/50 betweenfuel pump, and PCM.

Would like to here any suggestions or ideas, or if anyone else has ran into this problem.

Thank you for your response

RE: 1999 F-250 will not start

First look in your owners manual for a fuel pump reset switch (I hope to god the company isn't so stupid as to have put them on trucks). If you're good with not having that (as I assume) then look for a bad fuse or fusible link to the pump or ignition. You also would do good to crank it over and check for fuel pump pressure (provided you have a pressure tester or the accessory know-how).
