2010 F350 blue/grey smoke

I have a 2010 F350 w powerstroke and it has begun to have blue/grey smoke at times during acceleration. What may be causing this as the dealership stated they cannot duplicate problem and I should take a picture to show the smoke. The vehicle is still under warranty with 12300 miles. Need advice.

Just wondering if the turbo is beginning to pass oil into the intake?
Have you been shutting it down immediately after a run or do you let it idle for a while before shutting it down? If you have been shutting it down right away after a run ,that can cause the seals in the turbo to coke (get hard and wear faster) because the engine needs to idle a short while to allow the circulating oil to remove that heat from the turbo parts.
Sometimes we can spot this developing by opening the intake side of the turbo and look for excess oil in the pipes.

Looking for options...

Hanky,

Trying to get someone to provide me with some options on a thread i posted.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Justin

Hello from Alaska,

Recently I added a custom bumper/brushguard/winch to my 2010 F350. The combined weight lowered my front end considerably. I was expecting this but not as much as it did. What is the solution to get it back to the original position?
A leveling kit?

In addition to this issue, I plan on putting 32-33" tires on my rig and I am being told that would require approx 6" of lift (suspension lift not a body lift). Is this true?

Trying to decide which way to go.

Thanks

Justin

I don't know the correct answer to your problem, but have had to have an additional leaf added to the front springs to handle addl weight and it did solve the problem.
