2012 F-350 few tire recommendations
We just purchased a used 2012 F-350 and it needs new front tires along with upper lower ball joints and an alignment. I think we're looking for all terrain for the time being. What brand front tires do you folks recommend?
Welcome to the site..
Not a tire critic, or have huge tire recommendations, but...
My SD’s I’ve run BF Goodrich A/Ts and they’ve all just made it to 80k a set. Granted, they’re about done at that mileage, and even though AT more of a street tire, meaning not overly aggressive on the tread design. That said, they did pretty well here in our snow/ice conditions for a truck in its weight class.
My 17 SD is running the OE Goodyear Wranglers. Nice ride feel, horrible wear. In fact, after running down the road I can actually smell the rubber baking. All the tires are wearing even, just seems to be a real soft compound..
When it comes time for replacements I’ll be looking at the BFG’s again.
But when shopping for tires for my trucks, cars, I always take the manufacturers mileage guarantee into consideration if offered. Seems most of the tires with aggressive tread I’ve run, always seems to suffer from cupped wear, need rotations more often, sometimes re-balancing, and the reason I’ve stayed with the AT’s.
