2014 F-350 aftermarket diesel tank upgrade

Hey all...Just bought my first f-350, 2014 short bed. The sales staff swore up and down that I was getting a 37.5 gal tank...low and behold its only a 26 gallon tank. Do you all know of some aftermarket upgrades where the computer will read the new size of the tank?

Thank you all for your help!

I have been almost everywhere on this interweb looking for information on a slow cranking, no starting, no tachometer registering 1999 f250 superduty with the 7.3 diesel engine. This is the last place I am going before trailering it to the ford shop. The problem started this last winter when I got off work. The temp. was around zero when I tried to start it with no response until the batteries went dead due to over cranking and the smell of burning plastic or wires or something also my windshield wipers would make one swipe and stop so I thought I was getting a short and left it alone. I got a ride home (in a gas burner) and came after my truck the next day when the sun and temp. came up. With jumper cables I fired it up and drove it home with no problem. Ever since then it would barely turn over like the batteries were about dead but it would still fire up and go where I needed. Last week I tried to start it and it barely turned over. I replaced the batteries with two new 750 cold cranking amp batteries and still the same but it turns over a little faster than dead but it will not start. I put a charger on my new batteries and the next day the same thing. Medium to slow crank but no start. I replaced the cam sensor because I noticed that the tach was not showing anything when I cranked on it. Now even with fully charged new batteries it just barely turns over. I am out of ideas. Please help a shade tree mechanic for I need to get to work. Hate to sell this truck. I love a diesel

Welcome to the site..

Seems you have more than one issue.

The 7.3 needs to meet a 'minimum' cranking speed of 100 RPM or the injector driver module (IDM) won't fire the injectors. The batteries normally would have been Group 65 850 CCA but 750 wouldn't cause a slow crank, and a starter inductive load test may help prove out a good/bad starter motor and/or help take it out of a diagnosis. Any issues with the starter cables heating up? Checked all the connections including grounds?

The 7.3 also liked to burn the glow relay and could have been the problem 'or part of' an original hard start condition. Or may have contributed to starter related issues if it was over cranked heat failing a starter. Failed UVC harness's, connectors, glow plugs can all contribute to a hard/no start cold.

Miles on the 99? OE starter?

These aren't cheap but you get 50 gallons.
