2017 SD brake light pulse...
I have a 2017 F250 Lariat gasser with the camper/plow setup (neither are used). Recently I replaced all the exterior lights from halogen to LED's. I noticed that when the headlights are on and i depress the brake pedel, 1 of the 2 taillights pulse. When the headlights are off this does not happen and never happens to any other lights on the truck ever. The LED company seems to think its a board issue in the truck. Anyone have insight on this???

Because the electronics in late model vehicles have some special programming that we cannot change since it is designed to operate only as designed, when we change some components a can of worms gets opened. If everything operates correctly with the original set-up (you may need to go back to the regular lamps to prove this) then you might need to add an addl resistance to a circuit to fool the system into thinking there is nothing wrong.

did the system work correct ever since the conversion?
is this a plug and play connection or hard wired? have seen aftermarket led taillamps; then use diodes to isolate voltages from signal, tail and park lamp power....when the diodes fail power gets sent into the wrong circuits put back the oem taillights. if the oem taillamps work normally; its the new taillamp assemblies or incorrect hard wiring issue |
