74 F250 Auto will not start after replacing Shift Collar

I just replaced a shift collar on a 74 ford f250 auto (c-6) and now it will not start. What did I miss?

we need a little more info. on this thing like will it turn over but not start or not even turn over cause if I remember right the key is on the dash board not on the column unless someone put a later model steering column in it.

I just got the problem figured out. On the shift tube there is a bracket that looks broken. Am I correct in saying this actuates the NSS? When I move the NSS by hand and turn the key she fires right up. What is the correct name for the piece on the shift tube. Is this the detent? Am I on the right track or am I missing something.

that's called a safety neutral switch and when you move the lever on it. It completes the
circuit and lets it start. what you might try is this. take a small piece of wire and wrap it around the lever on the switch to hold it in place. problem solved or you can adjust the switch to make it work right and it won't start in any gear except park and neutral.
