Default 86-88 Bed Design Difference?

I have a 86 F250 but just noticed it has a 88 bed on it ....I am getting ready to restore the truck and want to put the correct parts on the bed .....been all over to try and find the correct bed but all rusted out around here ...... is it just the wheel openings that are different or is there more than that? thanks'

Yes, wheel openings (wheel arches) are often different, especially if it's a standard (regular) model vs. a super cab or 4-door model.
